Under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act, the Licensing Section undertakes the licensing of dangerous wild animals within the borough of Tameside.
Therefore, if you intend to purchase a dangerous wild animal to keep at home it may be necessary for you to obtain a licence for the Authority under the above Act.

How to Apply
Step 1
Print forms onto ordinary white A4 paper and complete in black ink using Capital Letters.
Step 2
Use the Contact Details, to return forms and submit the relevant fee, either by post or in person, during the hours shown.
Paying for your Licence
Once your application has been accepted and the fee has been paid, the Licensing Section will arrange for an inspection of your premises to be carried out by the Environmental Safety and Hygiene Section. Once the inspection has been completed, a report is submitted to the Licensing Section for their action.
Once the report has been received, and there are no objections to the application, the licence is then issued.
If objections are received, then the licensing section will prepare a report which will be considered at the next meeting of the Speakers Panel, which you, as the applicant, will be invited to attend, along with a representative, if you wish.
