Free Smoke Detectors

Home Fire Risk Assessments are available free of charge to all Tameside residents. A team of trained personnel will visit your home and provide fire safety advice relevant to your property and circumstances. They will also fit, free of charge, state of the art smoke detectors in appropriate locations. Many residents have already benefited from this free service and recommended it to family and friends.

Community Rooms for Hire

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has developed community rooms on most of the fire stations throughout the 10 Metropolitan Boroughs we serve. 

In Tameside Borough, we have rooms available in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Hyde, Stalybridge and Mossley.

The rooms are available for hire free of charge. All we ask is that your reason for using the room has a community focus.

Tea/coffee making facilities are available and most rooms are equipped with a PC, data projector etc.
