Forward Plan

For the 4 month period 1st January 2009 to 30th April 2009

Published 15th December 2008

This plan contains all the key decisions which the Council expects to take over the next four months. The plan is rolled forward every month. It will next be published on 15th January 2009 and will then contain all the key decisions for the 4 month period 1st February 2009 - 31st May 2009. The definition of a key decision is given in the Council’s Constitution and set out below.

A decision notice for each key decision is published within five days of it having been made. This is open for public inspection on the Council’s website: www.tameside.gov.uk, libraries and customer service centres and at the Council Offices, Ashton-under-Lyne.

The law and the Council’s Constitution provides for urgent key decisions to be made provided certain criteria are met. A decision notice will be published for these in exactly the same way.

The Plan also contains a summary of the changes made to the Plan published on 17th November 2008 for the four month period 1st December 2008 - 31st March 2009.

Definition of a Key Decision:

  • any Executive decision where the outcome will have a significant impact on a significant number of people living or working in 2 or more Wards or a District Assembly area where this is less than two Wards.
